About E-Learning and Distance Education Unit

 

An academic sub-organizational entity that coordinates with the Deanship of the E-education to assist faculty and students in interacting in educational activities that are provided on E-education and to create an integrated e-learning environment by providing support and assistance to faculty and students at the College. The Unit is overseen by a distinguished faculty member in the field of technical use, with knowledge of e-learning skills, programmes and managing its learning.

His communication is with the Dean Assistant of the College for Educational Affairs and Development. He is assisted by a female student-section coordinator with the same qualities, who reports to the College's Dean Assistant of female Student Affairs. They shall be assigned by the Dean of the College on the nomination of the competent Dean Assistant.

The Unit Goals

  3. Optimizing use of e-learning tools.

  4. Providing updated statistical data and information.

The Units Tasks

 

The Unit shall:

  1. Measure the needs of faculty members and students in the field of E-learning and distance learning.

  2. Identify of the College's requirements for modern technological equipment and modern appliances.

  3. Prepare the strategic plan for the Unit.

  4. Coordinate and participate in the implementation of training courses based on the Unit's e-learning plan in collaboration with the University's e-learning Deanship.

  5. Provide the technical support to the university's employees and target groups in all E-learning software.

  6. Disseminate E-learning technology culture and programmes among faculty members and students at the College.

  7. Update the e-learning data and activities on the College’s website.
